Greg Richards
November 22, 1972 – May 1, 2022
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother and father, Greg Richards, who passed on May 1st, 2022 at the age of 49 years.
Predeceased by his father Paul Richards (2013).
Leaving to mourn, his mother Millie (Danny Sampson), who loved him more than life itself; his beautiful children, Josh Wilton of Red Deer, Alberta and Kayleigh Richards; siblings: Linda (Ed) Newhook, Daryll Richards (Sherrell) and Ashley Richards; nieces and nephews: Nicolas, Alex, Michael, Jada, Raquel, Carter and Gianna; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Greg was a hilarious guy – he would do anything for a laugh. Making up stories as he went along just for the fun of it; especially if he knew your belly would hurt from laughter. He loved family events; Christmas especially, he was always so excited to pass out gifts to everyone. He never showed up for a dinner without a few friends tagging along. There was always an extra seat, and he knew it. He loved music and strumming his guitar and of course, a good old hockey game; Montreal was his team and he wore his jersey with pride. There’s no denying he faced many challenges in his life, but he did so with great resilience, never giving up hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, May 6th, 2022 from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 from Caul’s Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
