Greg Doane
1958 – 2022
Gregory ‘Greg’ Dell Doane passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 64 years. Greg leaves behind his children, Jordan Retelback, Katie Fagan, Scot Bay, Brandy Roberg and Chelsea Doane as well as six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Doane; father, Robert ‘Bob’ Doane and sisters, Colleen Doane and Jacqueline Doane. Greg was born in Medicine Hat on May 8, 1958. He travelled the world; working in many different provinces in Canada as well as many countries around the world and later returned to Medicine Hat where he lived until his passing. He enjoyed quadding, water sports, hockey (Calgary Flames), football and travelling around the world. Greg was a hopeless romantic; always in search of his forever love, as he would give and do whatever he could for the people he loved. Greg dedicated his life working in the oilfield and worked for CP Railway when he was young. He was a very adventurous soul who was never afraid to try new and sometimes challenging experiences. Greg will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have experienced his presence in their lives, His memory and legacy lives on within his children, grandchildren, close friends and extended family members. Greg will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.
