Grant Peter Dawson June 19th 1950 October 20th 2022

It is with broken hearts that the family of Grant Peter Dawson announce his sudden passing, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Sandy. Loving father of Kimberley-Jayne of B.C., Nicholas Dawson of Sarnia, and Lyndsay (Riz) of England. Cherished grandfather of Emmiline, Aaron, Boaz, Eric, Phillip, Alexander, and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents William and Doreen Dawson and his siblings Barry Dawson, Audrey Brown and Son-in-law Garry Millar. Grant enjoyed motorcycle racing and he rode until two years ago. He was an active member of SOAR (Southern Ontario Association of Racing) and co-owner of DMW Motorcycles (London Line). Grant enjoyed listening to music, primarily folk. He has been a leading member in several bands in England, New Zealand and Texas, singing, playing guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica. He was also a talented song writer. Grant enjoyed painting, photography, and doing woodwork projects around the house. He was a great storyteller and had a tale to tell for most situations. He loved playing practical jokes on people. Grant will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton or Canadian Red Cross (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
