Obituary
Purdy, Grace Ursula – 71, North Wallace, passed away December 21, 2022, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Francis and Grace Virginia (Myette) Cotie. Ursula spent most of her life working as a cook. She was always up for a game of cards and you never left her home hungry. She was a member of Thomas St. More Catholic Church, Pugwash. Ursula is survived by her children, Brian Purdy (Lacee Dawn Emslie), Pugwash Junction; Shawna Purdy, St. Paul, N.B.; grandchildren, Darci (Wade McKenzie), Cassi (David Burbie), Brandi (Jesse Clark), Joshua, Cameron (Baily Ferdinand); great grandchildren, Lucas and Hunter; siblings, Tony (Brenda Finnigan), Ann Boudreau, Laura Doyle, Sheila (Gary) Boudrea, Peggy Cotie. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Brian Purdy, siblings, Christina in infancy, Angus, Johnny, Gerard and Hughie. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at St. Andrew’s United Church, Fox Harbour. Burial in the Fox Harbour Community Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the VON Palliative Care.
