GOSCHE Frank Edward April 9 2022

With heavy hearts, the family of Frank Edward Gosche announce his passing on April 9, 2022 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Frank was born in Clyde, Alberta on August 7, 1932 to Emmett and Elsie Gosche (both deceased). With his older brother Marvin (deceased) he grew up helping at the family store and sneaking upstairs to play pool. He and his brother Marvin also helped on their grandparents William and Mary Critchley’s farm. Eventually Emmett and Elsie moved to Edmonton to build a house, raise their family and establish Livingstone Glass.
In Edmonton Frank attended and then graduated from East Glen High School. It was there he met and eventually married Thomasina Raymond (deceased). Frank and Tommy had three children: Lesley (Kelly), Lanne and Reid (Sandra). Sadly, Reid pre-deceased both his parents.
Frank had six grandchildren – Reeve (Lindsay), Breanne (Troy), Taylor (Ana), Sellek (Adèle), Sophia and Mason – plus 7 great grandchildren: Ryker, Quinn, Tenelle, Mylenka, Oliver, Florent and Lènaïc. He was quietly proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frank worked in the glass industry most of his working life, starting at Livingstone Glass with his father and brother. His glazier career provided him with many opportunities, including owning his own glass shop in Vancouver for a few years. But Edmonton eventually called him back.
Throughout his lifetime Frank supported and played many sports. He helped with Edmonton track events, local football clubs and belonged to the Kiwanis Club. In his spare time, he continued to play billiards as well as curl, golf, ski and play racquetball. He followed his son Reid’s football career with joy, supported his daughter Lanne’s love of horses, and spent several months in Grimshaw one summer, where he helped Lesley and Kelly operate their 9-hole golf course. It was his involvement in all of these activities and the glass industry that connected him to his many lifelong friends.
The family thanks Shepherd’s Care Kensington for their care and support of Frank over the past 3 years. Donations in Frank’s memory can be made to Shepherd’s Care Foundation Kensington Village Projects.
A memorial tribute by the family will be private.
