Gordon “Gordie”‘s Obituary
ZWICKER, Gordon Lindsay “Gordie” ~ Age 78, of South Berwick, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on May 13, 1943, in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Percy T. and Dorothy A. (Pinch) Zwicker. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, the former Eleanor E. Rafuse; stepson, Randy (Sheila) Veinotte, South Berwick; stepdaughter, Karen Veinotte, Berwick; step grandchildren, Lee Veinotte (Kristy), Cambridge; and Jeff Veinotte (Cayla), Harmony; Nikia (Mark) Bedrey; step great grandchildren, Grace, Jack and Ellery, all of Calgary, Alta.; son-in-law, Terry Moore, Shubenacadie; sisters, Kathleen (Dale) Veinot, Kingston; Margaret “Margie” Zwicker, Wolfville; Mildred Isnor, Kentville; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Dorothy Harnish and special nephew, Scott Veinot. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Muriel “Boopie” Moore; sisters, Ethel Bond and Judy Mosher. Gordie worked for Harley and George Moody for many years, who he always considered to be his very good friends. He was a member of Berwick Baptist Church. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will take place in Berwick Cemetery with Rev. Evan Colford and Pastor Andrew Conrad officiating. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to Berwick Baptist Church or to your favourite charity. The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Regional Hospital for everything they did for Gordie. Eleanor,sorry to hear of Gord’s passing especially after having spoken to him via phone just two weeks ago. Always considered a special cousin wh always made you feel welcome in your home. He was definitely a family man and took a lot of pride in his gardens,home and from stories he told me about his friends and anybody else that needed a helping hand. Passing regards from our all of our families here in the city. Gord,you will be missed my friend.
