Gordon Francis Furlong born March 12,1966 at Miramichi Hospital, passed away peacefully in Miramichi on January 27, 2022 at the age of 55.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Joseph (Rose) of Beaverbrook, sisters Carol Vienneau (Stephen) of Kitchener, ON, Angela Stewart (Darrell) of Miramichi, NB, and Amanda Furlong of Calgary, AB. Predeceased by his parents Catherine (Young) (2015) and Gordon (1998), Brother Danny (2006), Grandparents Bernetta (Theriault), John Furlong, Monica (Hubbard), and John Young.
Gordie will be fondly remembered by his fur baby Chico, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; especially Giselle. He loved them all.
Gordie (a.k.a. Pickle) was his “own man” and lived his life his own way. He was a dreamer with an unlimited imagination. He was known for his physical strength, and his ability to tell a story. He loved spending time with family and friends, or just being alone with nature. He was in his element when he was telling jokes, cooking, 4 wheeling, riding a unicycle, or enjoying an outdoor fire. His laugh, and unique charismatic personality will be cherished by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 2 pm, at 17 Abrams St, Miramichi, NB, with Father Nesbit officiating. Interment will take place in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 11 am.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Hope Café at St Andrew’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
