Gordon Adelbert Foster 2022

Gordon’s Obituary
Gordon Adelbert Foster, Nictaux South ~ The family of Gordon Adelbert Foster, with heavy hearts, announce his sudden passing on Saturday, June 4, 2022, the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Gordon was an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He spent most of his life employed as a Forester and even last week had been piling wood with his grandsons in their sawmill. He loved the outdoors, especially his hunting adventures, fishing trips with family and friends. Gardening often included drives with Marion, checking out all the greenhouses. He could do anything he put his hands to from woodworking to mechanics and was always a fountain of wisdom.
Family was everything to Gordon. He had an amazing 57 years of marriage to Marion, the love of his life. Gordon would always give a hand to anyone who needed it. He would do anything for his daughters, even if it was just sharing some helpful advice. His eyes sparkled when he saw or spoke of his grandsons, and he thoroughly enjoyed participating in all of their adventures and endeavors. Gordon had many nieces and nephews who were close to him and held a special place in his heart.
Gordon was born June 28, 1944, to Sylvia (nee Banks) and Gordon A. Foster. His siblings are Clara Banks, Mount Hanley; Pearl Taylor, Meadowvale; Inez Taylor, Wilmot; Flossie Benjamin, Greenwood; and John Foster, Mount Hanley. He was predeceased by a brother, George, in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Marion (nee Naugler); daughters, Janice Foster (Pius Murnaghan, of Roseneath, P.E.I.; and Nancy Hare (Eddie Hare) of Mount Hanley; grandsons, Nathan Murnaghan (Sarah Dowling), Ottawa, Ont.; Isaac Murnaghan (Morgan McKenna), Alberry Plains, P.E.I.; and Jacob Hare (Aeris Do), Jesse Hare (Shelby Prost) and Lucas Hare (Elodie Gaudet) all of Mount Hanley.
In respect of Gordon’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Donations in memory can be made to the Mount Hanley Schoolhouse Museum or charity of your choice. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
