WOOD, Gloria Mary Nee: McColl of Keene, Ontario

Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side at the age of 92. She is predeceased by the love of her life Elburn James Robert Wood of 72 years.
Cherished mother to Evelyn (Bob) Keays, Sharon (Steve) Sloan and Brenda (Doug) Howard. Loving grandmother to Jeffrey (Christina) Keays, Jennifer (Matt) Bassett -Spiers, Ryan (Amy) Sloan, Deanna (Bob) Archer, Kayla (Charlie) Berardi, Kory (Jess) Howard. Cherished great grandmother to Sierra, Cameron, Jacob, Cody, Shane, Ethan, Owen, Easton and Bryce.
She is predeceased by her sisters Isabel (Phil) Meagher, Barbara (Ronnie) Kelly and infant brother William. Gloria is predeceased by her parents Ross and Evelyn McColl of Peterborough Ont.
She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gloria was an employee of Westclox and Silverwood’s dairy. But the job that she excelled at the most was being the best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother any family could ask for.
She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, soft spoken words, loving touch, nurturing personality and home cooked meals.
We will never forget all the memories that were made by so many sitting around the kitchen table visiting over a cup of hot tea and fresh baked muffins. The love she had for her family was one of a kind and will be cherished for years to come. Our family will miss all of the special occasions that we so grateful to celebrate with them while enjoying a great meal that she worked so hard to prepare for everyone.
Some of her hobbies include bird watching, crocheting, baking, cooking, reading, going for drives and spending time with family and friends at the family farm.
“With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay”.
May you be reunited with the love of your life and your love story continue where it left off 10 ½ months ago.
Gone but NEVER forgotten! Rest in Peace Sweet Mom/Gram!
