We regret to announce the death of Gloria Jean Tompkins (MacFarlene) of Newbridge on Sunday December 18, 2022, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 82.
Gloria was born on September 4, 1940, to the late Lloyd Grant Milbury and Madeline Olive MacFarlene.
She is survived by her Daughter Wendy Mooney and family and son Wayne Tompkins (Sandra)and family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George Herbert Tompkins and son in law Barry Mooney, sister Mary and brothers Robert and Malcolm.
By request there will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time, interment will be in the Grafton Cemetery in the spring.
If so desired donations can be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Upper River Valley Hospital for the care and compassion shown to their mother and to the family.
