Gloria Charmaine Cooley
Cooley, Gloria “Charmaine” – Age 92, Truro. The family of Charmaine Cooley announces her peaceful passing on March 14, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by her family.
Our mother was born on March 5, 1930 in Truro to the late Harriet “Hattie” (Lynds) and Thomas Fillmore. She married Donald Cooley in 1953. Mom worked for many years at Brookfield Creamery, also at the Metropolitan and Central Charge. She was very devoted to her family and her employers.
She is survived by her loving children, Melanie (Paul Fazekas) and Jeff; granddaughters, Krystyn Miller (Regan) and Alannah Setchell (Peter Sopotiuck); great granddaughters, Kylie and Katie Miller; second husband, Gerald Jenkinson as well as five stepchildren and their families and two cousins.
Besides her parents, Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband, Don (1995) and her sister, Faye.
The family wish to extend their appreciation to Dr. Coad, Dr. Henderson, Dr. Smith, Dr. Rowe and Dr. Idoko as well as to the staff of CEHHC D3 and E3 units. A special thank you to the staff of Parkland for their care and kindness.
Donations in her memory may be made to the War Amps or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
At Mom’s request, there will be no service. A private family interment will be held in Watson Cemetery in the spring.
