Gloria Brock
(née Beinhaker)
At a time of her own choosing, Gloria Pearl Brock (nee Beinhaker), passed away peacefully, one day shy of her 88th birthday, at University Hospital in London Ontario.
Gloria was born in Montreal Quebec, to Israel and Sadie Beinhaker on February 15, 1934. She had an older sister Rosalind who predeceased her and a younger brother Philip Beinhaker, now living with his extended family in Israel.She trained as a teacher and often spoke of the wonderful experience McDonald College represented in her early life. Teaching was a calling that she interrupted to raise her children but returned to, once they matured. She was married to the late Seymour Brock for 47 years. Together, they raised their 3 children and created a wonderful life in Montreal including joyful summers spent in the Laurentians, world wide travel and spending time with their adult children and grandchildren. Gloria moved to London, Ontario in 2011. She enjoyed these last years close to her son and his family and created new, wonderful friendships and connections in the London Community.
Gloria thoroughly enjoyed her life. She was equally delighted to play bridge, walk with a friend, read a good book or shop. She loved her frequent opportunities to travel with her children. She will be forever remembered for her indomitable spirit and positive outlook on life. Gloria is survived by her brother, Philip and sister-in-law Connie, her children, Phyllis Brock and Jon Bornstein, Gerry and Leslie Brock and Beverly and Jordan Golden and her grandchildren, Alison, Ian, Michael, Gaby, Jake, Adam and Shane and her great-grandchildren, Abigail and Quinn.
A special thank you to her caring physicians who looked after her with such dedication; Drs. Joy Mangel, Brian Yan and David Palma. Donations should be directed to The Victoria Hospital London Ontario, Department of Hematology and Oncology, c/o Dr Joy Mangel. A private service by invitation only will be held. A private Zoom Shiva service will be held at Ruby Foos, by invitation only please.

A very special person and a true friend. How lucky we were that she came to London. I go back to high school days with her and her sister Rosalind. She taught us how to enjoy life.
