Glenn Ian Ferguson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Dartmouth General Hospital, at the age of 80, after a recent bout with cancer.
Beloved husband of Joan (née Mountain), brother of Evelyn, and father of Glenn, Kim, and Kevin. Adored grandfather of Cameron, Nicholas, Matthew, Leah, Caileigh, Andrew, and Anna. Predeceased by his dear brother Keith, and dear sisters Helen and Mildred. Fondly remembered by many close friends.
Ian was born in Avonmore, Ontario on January 31, 1941, to John and Hilda (née Campbell) Ferguson. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Carleton University and an MBA from University of Western Ontario. He then moved out west to Calgary where he met Joan, and they got married in 1966. The couple later moved to Regina and then back eastward to Nova Scotia, with three young children in tow to build his practice as a business consultant. Ian has always been very active in the church as an elder and on a variety of church committees, the Freemasons (he became a Worshipful Grand Master like his father before him), barber shop singing, and community charities like Feed Nova Scotia.
A heartfelt thanks to his loving friends for their support through his illness. Given the current concerns with rising Covid rates, the visitation and funeral for Ian will be delayed until Spring 2022.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Iona Presbyterian Church, would be appreciated by the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Glenn Ian Ferguson January 3 2022..
