Glenda Jean Baker (January 16, 1957 – December 2, 2021)
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Glenda Jean Baker, age 64. Glenda was predeceased by her parents Margaret (Norman) and James Baker.
Glenda’s loss is felt deeply as she leaves behind her husband, John Bickerton, her son Stephen, her beloved granddaughter Scarlotte, and her sisters Lori McEvoy, Marilyn Maddeaux, Barbie Subic, Jenny Batchelor and Trisha Gravelle. Glenda was a focal part of an extended family and circle of friends throughout Canada, but especially here in Newfoundland. She was one of a kind.
Glenda loved animals and gardening. Her thumb was amazingly green; animals and plants thrived under her care. She put the same level of compassion into her nursing. Competent, kind and empathetic, the community will feel her loss.
Visitation is Friday, December 10, from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.
The CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be arranged for July 23,2022.
Service at Glenda’s Gardens. 220 J R Smallwood Blvd, Gambo
