Obituary of Gladys Lather
Dorothea Gladys Lather passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home in her 103rd year.
Daughter of the late James & Martha (nee Gee) Grainger.
Wife of the late Donald C. Lather (1952) and the late John. B Lather (2012).
She is survived by her three children; Lois Van Slyck (James), Douglas Lather and Lynn Adkins (David).
Grandchildren, Kimberley Heyninck (Jason), Lee Lather (Danielle), Lauren Mazzatto (Alex), and Steven Adkins.
Great-grandchildren Emily & Ryan Heyninck and Liam & Mya Lather.
Predeceased by one sister Gertrude Conlin and brothers, James Grainger and Howard Grainger.
Survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
Gladys was a charter member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church, Chatham and was active for many years in the C.C.W., Merry Mates Couples Club, Maple City Senior Centre and O.E.S. Chapter.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the 5th Floor Staff of Riverview Gardens for their care and compassion of “Gladie”.
Family to receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 12:00 pm until a Funeral Service of Gladys’ life at 1:00 pm. Private Family Interment to follow.
In memory of Gladys, donations may be made to the St. Paul’s Congregational Church or to a charity of ones choice.
