PITRE, Gladys (nee Cherewka) 1944-2022 – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, February 14th, 2022 in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Roderick Pitre (2013). Loving mother of Chris Cherewka (Bonnie Adams) of Simcoe, Jeffery Cherewka (Cheryl) of Tetterville, Connie Pitre (Scott Moggach) of Courtland, Melissa Pitre (Dean Judge) of Simcoe, Michelle Pitre of Simcoe and Patricia Pitre (Rob Carrothers) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Andrew, son Ryder; Nicole (Craig), children Gavin, Elizabeth & Madison; Curtis (Danielle), children Easton & Kenneth; Travis; Jeremy (Ashley); Jessica; Jacob (Mattea); Johnny; Jaimee; Tyler; and Ryan (Grace). Dear sister to Patsy Cherewka of Tillsonburg, Wilma Mitchell (Dave) of Windham Centre, Janet Green (late Jim) of Kitchener, Melvin Cherewka of Brantford and Brian Cherewka (Robyn) of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Predeceased by her sister Sylvia McDonald. A private funeral, “by invitation only” will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3.
