Gladys’ Obituary
Passed away peacefully, at Telfer Place LTC in Paris, Ontario, on December 30, 2022. Gladys was in her 91st year. She was born on April 27, 1932 in Thurso, Quebec and was the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Laura Lean. She married her husband Elwood Flynn on April 21, 1956. They were blessed with two daughters Kathy (Rob) Peachey and Linda (Jay) Howell. Beloved grandmother of Erica, Amanda Davidson (Matt), Melissa (Ryan), Jen (Cam) and Dan and great-grandmother of Nolan and Brody. Forever loved sister of Clifford (the late Shirley) (Dorothy), the late Mavis (Ted), Ronnie (Claire), the late Ruby and the late Joy. Loved by Elwood’s family: the late Eileen (the late Bob), the late Morris (the late Janet), the late Albert (The late Jean), the late Sadie (the late Ted), the late Dennis (Tina), the late Roy (the late Dorothy) (Pauline), Dale (the late Carol), Shirley, Chet (Ruth), Errol (Liz), Ruby (the late Denis). Gladys will be missed by many, many nieces, nephews and extended family. She loved being with her family, traveling, volunteering and church activities. Gladys had many passions including gardening, sewing, crafts, needlepoint, crocheting, fitness, cooking and baking.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. A Private Family Service will be held with interment following in the St. George Cemetery. Rev. Sarah Horvath will officiate. In Gladys’ memory, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
