Obituary of Giuseppina Tamburri
Passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her children on January 1, 2022 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 92. Josephine was born in Kitigan, Ontario on October 20, 1929 and worked for the British American Oil Company and Bucovetsky’s in Kapuskasing. She then married Angelo on June 22, 1963 and enjoyed over 43 years together. In 1972 they moved to Port Colborne and along with their family, Angelo and Josephine opened Tamburri Brothers Garage where Jo was bookkeeper/accountant for many years.
Dearly loved mother of Pep Tamburri (Kim), Linda Tamburri (Alfredo) and Maria Veldman (Andrew), all of Port Colborne. Loving nanny to Nicholas (Mikayla) and Michaela (Brandon), Kevin, Trevor and Eric (Kennedy), and Rocco. Sadly missed by her sister Rose Dafoe, sisters in law Edna Tancredi, Mary Tancredi, Giuditta Petrecca (Angelo), and brother in law Amerigo Tamburri (Cristina). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. A private family service will be held in the Armstrong Chapel followed by Rite of Committal at Mt.
