Obituary of Ginny Silver
The world lost some of its sparkle and warmth when this gem of a soul passed peacefully on August 18, 2022. Virginia (Ginny) Lilian Silver (née Kraft) lived a full and rich 95 years.
She shared memories from living through the Great Depression, World War 2, and in the mid-seventies moving with her husband and three of her five children from Bramalea Ont. to settle in the quaint little town of Quesnel B.C.
Ginny loved to laugh and was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her – always seeing the cup as half full and never half empty. Her heart was one of gratitude, expressing appreciation for even a small act of kindness right to the end – even in her final days.
Ginny was predeceased by her husband Ron, grandson Greg, great-grandson Kevin, and siblings Dorothy, Donald, Clare, and Anne. She is survived by her five children, Lynne (Jack), Jim (Lizzy), Laurie (Rick), Catherine (Dwayne), Carolyn (Pat), her twelve grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sept. 10, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Clayton’s Funeral home, refreshments to follow.
