Nous regrettons d’annoncer le décès de Gilbert Trudeau, à l’âge de 78 ans, le jeudi 14 avril 2022 à l’hôpital Horizon Santé-Nord, Sudbury.
Gilbert laisse pour pleurer sa perte son épouse, Georgette (née Bernard); sa fille, Lise Anne Gaudet (Daniel) de Témiscaming, QC; deux petits-enfants : Danika et Zacharie (Angélie); ses sœurs : Léonie Hill d’Orangeville, Thérèse Johnston de London, et Gertrude Lambert (Rémi) de Moonbeam; ainsi que plusieurs belles-sœurs, beaux-frères, nièces et neveux.
Gilbert fut prédécédé par son fils, Marc; ses parents, Armand Trudeau et Bella Wedge; deux frères : Denis et Jean-Paul Trudeau; une sœur, Armande Coulis; et un beau-frère, Edouard Bernard.
Gilbert était membre des Chevaliers de Colomb et de la Forge, et il fut partie du comité de l’Association pour l’intégration communautaire du Nord-Est (AICNE) pendant de nombreuses années. Comme passe-temps, Gilbert aimait la chasse, la pêche, les voyages, et prendre un café avec “les boys”. Il a passé d’innombrables heures à son chalet. Gilbert a travaillé pour la Spruce Falls et Tembec pendant 38 ans.
La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le mercredi 20 avril 2022, à 10h30, en l’église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires, avec Père Rémi Lessard comme célébrant. L’inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons aux Olympiques Spéciaux de Kapuskasing comme témoignages de sympathie. ©
We are sad to announce the death of Gilbert Trudeau, at the age of 78 years, Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.
Gilbert leaves in mourning his wife, Georgette (née Bernard); his daughter, Lise Anne Gaudet (Daniel) of Témiscaming, QC; two grandchildren: Danika and Zacharie (Angélie); his sisters: Léonie Hill of Orangeville, Thérèse Johnston of London, and Gertrude Lambert (Rémi) of Moonbeam; as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Gilbert was predeceased by his son, Marc; his parents, Armand Trudeau and Bella Wedge; his brothers : Denis and Jean-Paul Trudeau; one sister, Armande Coulis; and one brother-in-law, Edouard Bernard.
Gilbert was a member of the Knights of Columbus and la Forge, and was a committee member for many years with NEACL (North East Association for Community Living). In his spare time, Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling, and having coffee with “the boys”. He also spent many hours at his cottage. Gilbert worked for Spruce Falls and Tembec for 38 years.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church, with Father Rémi Lessard officiating. Interment will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. The family would greatly appreciate donations to Special Olympics Kapuskasing as expressions of sympathy. ©
