SCHWAGER, Gilbert Alois
Passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Friday March 4th, 2022. Gilbert Schwager of Deseronto was in his 92nd year. Son of the late William and Matilda Schwager. Loving husband of the late Helen Schwager (nee Van Sicklen). Much loved father of Gail Reid (Wayne) of Stirling, Shirley Theobald of Shannonville, Michele Vance (Rick) of Shannonville, Philip Schwager (Margaret) of Flinton, Stephen Schwager (Vicki) of Belleville, Wayne Schwager (Barb) of Stirling, Mark Schwager (Teresa) of Lindsay and predeceased by daughter Cathy Cashin, as well as his many sisters and brothers. Also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend Visitation at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588) on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 7288 Old Highway 2, Marysville on Wednesday March 9th, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
