Gibbons, Audrey Gertrude
Audrey passed away peacefully with family by her side at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Tuesday, March 28, 2022 at the age of 93.
Born in Toronto, ON on August 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Kathleen (nee Wigston) Buckley.
Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Orval Gibbons and by her daughter Pat Gunson.
She was the strong-willed mother of Harold Wilson (Maureen) and Sue Gunson (Ron) and will be remembered fondly by her son-in-law Al Gunson.
Audrey was the proud grandma of Danielle, Chrissy, Maria, Wulfric, Axel, John, Jordan, Mark, Darryl, Jamie, and was predeceased by her grandson David. She was the great grandmother to many great grandchildren.
Orval and Audrey enjoyed playing the board game Aggravation together and going for coffee at Tim Hortons. She loved spending time with family and especially enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will take place at the Orillia Legion on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2 o’clock. A service of committal and interment will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
