Gertrude “Gert” Robicheau
September 14, 1947-December 23, 2022
Age 75 of Yarmouth, passed away on December 23, 2022 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on September 14, 1947 in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Connie (Surette) Langthorne.
Gert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Branch 61, Yarmouth. She enjoyed her bingo nights and shopping at the Salvation Army. She loved her family and grandchildren; and loved going for rides with her son, John.
Gert is survived by her sons, John Robicheau, Pubnico and Jamie (Ashley) Robicheau, High Level, Alberta; daughter, Joy Robicheau, Calgary; siblings, Jim (Faye) Langthorne, Hebron; Shirley (Ronald) O’Hearn, Brooklyn; Donna Langthorne, Yarmouth; Kathy Usher, Dartmouth; Larry Langthorne, Yarmouth, Gloria (Carson) King, Valley; Susan (Carmen) Langthorne, Valley; William Langthorne-Cribbs, Ontario; 7 grandchildren; Will’s grandsons, Johnathan (Jessica Rozee) and Lewie (Jessica Cormier) who spent many hours with Gert; goddaughter, Nichole Legge; many special friends; ex-husband, Murray Robicheau.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her partner, Will Muise; Deborah and Joe LeBlanc. She loved to see Joe come visit her with an Ice Cap.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth. Memorial donations in Gert’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Yarmouth SPCA.
