Obituary of Gerard Robert “Gerry” Hook
Passed away with his family at his side at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Saturday October 9, 2021 at the age of 70 of Waubaushene. Beloved husband of Rosemarie. Loved father of Michael (Gina), Stephanie, and Samuel. Loving grandfather of Zachary and Abigail. Dear brother of Dianne White (John), Joy Zitano (George), Maureen Barnes (Brian), and Donna Sweertz (Kevin). Predeceased by his parents Robert & Joyce Hook. Following cremation a private family graveside service will be held at St. John’s R.C. Cemetery, Waubaushene.
Gerry’s family will be celebrating his life and love of family, friends and community on Saturday June 11, 2022 at the Waubaushene Legion from 2:00pm til 6:00pm. There will be light refreshments until around 4:30 at which time we will be serving Gerry’s speciality of BBQ beef and pork (on a bun) using his big barbecue in tribute to a man who loved his friends, his community and above all, his family.
Bring your photos, memories and shared experiences to help us celebrate a life well livedA celebration to honour Gerry’s life for family and friends will be held in the Spring of 2022.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Gerry may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Toronto, or to the charity of your choice and may be made through the funeral home.
