The Millen family are to sad announce that our wonderful Mum passed away on August 19 at the age of 87. Born in Orpington, Kent, England, she was the daughter of the late Gerald & Muriel Swiggs (née Inniss), and older sister of the late Jacqueline (Jacks) Gibbs. A modest, thoughtful and kind person, wife, mother and grandmother, she was beloved by family and friends and will be missed by her husband and best friend of 64 years, Roy, sons Rich & Andy, daughters-in-law Cheryl (Peever) & Helen (née Davidson) and grandchildren Matt, Chris, Greg & Amy. Her memory will also be treasured by extended family in Barbados, Tasmania, Canada and England. As well, she will be remembered affectionately as a respected and valued friend and neighbour for the 56 years she resided in her adopted home of Canada, and more specifically the welcoming community of Manordale. She loved nature, volunteering, music, mystery novels and family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11 a.m. Private inurnment to follow.
