Geraldine Geri Saiko May 12th 2022

With great sadness Geri passed away May 12, 2022 after her year long struggle with an aggressive cancer. Born in Port Alberni, BC on August 2, 1950 Geri moved to Vernon in 1977 at the age of 27 with her 5 year old daughter in tow. There she met the love of her life and best friend James Saiko. They married in 1980 and lived their lives together in Armstrong, BC. Geri had a successful 40-year career working in the dental field and after retirement and her love of dogs, she opened and ran 4-Paws Dog Boarding Kennel for the past 12 years and also bred Swedish Vallhunds. When she wasn’t working in either the greenhouse or the kennel, she with her husband enjoyed many vacations in Mexico. Geri was happy in life, her kind nature, generosity and rich in life attitude blessed many people. Geri is survived by her loving husband (Jim) of 42 years, daughter Wendi, mother Evelyn, sister Merna, brothers Owen & Randy, 4 grandsons, 2 great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends. Friendship is a connection that does not weaken with death but instead grows stronger for those who remember her and fond memories will forever keep her alive in our hearts and a smile on our faces. Geri’s death is truly about honoring her life and all those that were blessed through her friendship. Rest in peace beautiful Geri. Service will be announced at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Geraldine Geri Saiko May 12th 2022..
