Fawkes, Gerald Edwin
80 years, passed peacefully on Thursday August 25, 2022 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Son of the late Douglas and Dorothy (nee Appleby) Fawkes. Cherished husband of Theresia Fawkes (nee Sullivan), caring father of Jerri Fawkes, Brian Fawkes (Christie), Steven Fawkes (Starr), Nathan Hatt (Jessi), Gregory Hatt and Jody Hatt (Tammy). Adored grandfather of Christopher (Candice), Emilly (Ben), Rebecca, Cody, Rhiannon (Shawn), Fallyn, Haili, Brody, Kira, Cole, Ataya, Briley, Zoey and Zoey H. Great- grandfather of Charlotte and Claire. Survived by his sister Susan Fawkes. Predeceased by his brothers Douglas Fawkes and Randal Fawkes. Gerry was born in St Stephen and attended Milltown High School upon graduation he attended Rosary Commercial College. He went on to have a career with the Biological Station and was in the army reserves. A true outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, he even made his own fly rods and flies; he will be remembered by all those who knew him as a good man. As per Gerry’s wishes a private family burial will take place at the Oak Bay Rural Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care & direction of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506-466-3110) For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations in Gerry’s memory to the Charlotte County SPCA. Special thanks to the staff of Moving Forward and Extra Mural for all their care.
