GERALD OBERBUCHNER
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Oberbuchner on January 21, 2022, at the age of 63 years. Gerald passed away peacefully at home.
For the past 33 years he was the beloved husband of Jacqueline. In addition to Jacqueline and Mickey the bird, he leaves to mourn his brother Fred, sister-in-law Ann, nephews Jakob and Simon, his mother-in-law Emmy as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Gerald’s greatest passion was wildlife. He devoted much of his energy to supporting an organization that cares for and rehabilitates injured wild animals – the Wildlife Haven. He was a volunteer at the Wildlife Haven for 21 years in the education and public outreach program. Gerald loved nothing more than talking to people with an owl on his arm.
In memory of Gerald, donations can be made to Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre (www.wildlifehaven.ca).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gerald Oberbuchner December 20 1958 January 21 2022..

  1. Jacqueline & the Oberbuchner family. I am truly saddened by your loss. Gerald always treated me with kindness and never was without a smile. I took great pride to be thought of as an honourary member of the Alpine Pavillion family and how I was treated by the Oberbuchner family and the dance group. My Condolences to you all.
