Sangster, Gerald Milton Age 84
of New Harbour, Guysborough County, passed away on Friday, September
9, 2022, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late
Arthur and Rose (Sangster) Sangster. Gerald retired in 1997 having
worked as a welder for 32 years at the Halifax Shipyards. He was a
member of New Harbour Baptist Church; enjoyed travelling with Shirley
throughout Canada and the U.S.A. attending NASCAR and other
races along the way. Gerald is survived by the love of his life of 57
years, Shirley (Myers); brother, Kevin (Joan), Dartmouth;
brother-in-law, Charles Pellerin, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Vida
Sangster, New Harbour; nephews and nieces, Ashley (Linda) Sangster,
Trevor (Emily) Sangster, Kyle (Robin) Sangster, Graham (Michelle)
Pellerin, Lauren Sangster, Charlene (Kenneth) MacMillan and their
families. Gerald was predeceased by brother, Barry Sangster, sisters,
Eileen Pellerin, Sharon Sangster-Hallam, brother-in-law, Chester
Myers, father and mother-in-law, Harold and Myrtle Myers. Visitation
will be held Wednesday, September 14th from 1 p.m. until time of
funeral service at 3 p.m. in New Harbour Baptist Church with Rev.
David Wheeler officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New
Harbour. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to
the Cemetery Improvement Association of New Harbour or
Children’s Wish Foundation. Funeral arrangements are under
the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home,
