Gerald Michael Lloyd Hogan

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving son and only child Gerald ‘Slick’ Hogan on July 21, 2022. Born in New Waterford on October 3, 1980, to Gerald and Shirley (Keeping) Hogan.
Slick made his living as a pipefitter travelling back and forth out west. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching basketball and hockey, especially the Montreal Canadians. He loved hanging out with the boys listening to music and sitting around playing his guitar. Slick always had an interest in astronomy and the Universe. He was such a lover of making high class meals and was always trying new recipes.
Those left to mourn his passing are his mom and dad, his three beautiful children, who were the love of his life, son Josh (Olivia) and his mom Angela Petrie, his two little princesses Alora and Lola and their mom Jill MacKinnon. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were all a very important part of his life. Slick had some great friends, but he had three best buds; Uncle John Keeping, Chris Corbett and Blair MacNeil.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are under the care of McLellan Funeral Home, New Waterford. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10 am -12 pm. A chapel service will be held at 12pm, with Kenneth MacIntosh officiating. Interment at Union Grove Cemetery. A reception to follow at the K.O.C. on Plummer Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
