Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gerald “Gerry” Jamieson – 79 of Pugwash/Amherst, on December 23, 2022, at the Halifax QEII. Born in Pugwash on September 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Leo and Donalda (Vanbuskirk) Jamieson. He was very proud of his career as a member of the Iron Workers Union for 57 years. His first 12 years was with Local 721 and the remaining years was Local 752. Throughout his Career, he made many lifelong friendships and always had great memories to share of his work taking him to many places. He was also a member of the Lions Club of Pugwash and a Director of the Pugwash River Cemetery in Pugwash River. Jerry was an avid hunter and had a love for his camp and everything that surrounded it. He loved to watch and tend to his bears and wildlife, while spending time with many friends or family that wanted to enjoy it with him. He loved teaching anyone that wanted to learn the skills he had gained over the years. He was never without a good story (past or current) and loved to have a good laugh over the many good times he had. Surviving is his lifelong friend and partner, Ruby Mason; daughters, Patti Gordon, Heather (Craig) Jamieson, sons Michael (Charlotte) Jamieson, Bobby Langille; step children, Patti (Rene) and Randy (Laura),grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Nikki, Matthew, Christopher, Bobby & Abby; as well as great grandchildren and several nieces ,nephews and cousin, brothers, Brian (Debbie) Jamieson, Bobby (Heather) Jamieson, Craig (Denise) Jamieson, sister-in-law Mary Jamieson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor (2007), son-in-law, Dominic Peditto, parents, Leo and Donalda, brother Ronald Jamiesonand siblings, Beverly and Phillip (both in infancy).

In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, cremation will take place and a burial will be held at a later date at the Pugwash River Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Pugwash River Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to Mundle’s Funeral Home.
