It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Gerald L. Cheeseman of Marystown announces his passing. Gerald passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 59 years, Alice; son Keith Cheeseman (Narmina Babayeva) of Calgary, AB; daughter Bonnie Lee (Roger) of Mount Hebron, NB; sister Rosemary Cheeseman of St. John’s; sisters-in-law, Delores VanSparrentak of South Gate, Michigan and Gladys Walsh (Frank) of Marystown; special neighbors Sharon and Lawrence McMullan; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Marion Cheeseman; sister Madonna Ryan; and parents-in-law James and Anne Murphy.
The Cheeseman Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Also on, Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:30am.
In Gerald’s memory donations may be made to The Knights of Columbus or flowers gratefully accepted.
