Gerald Gerry Charles Veysey January 20th 2022

Gerry was born in Rossland, BC on April 13, 1938, the eldest child of Ami John “Bill” and Violet Edna (Roberts). He moved to Fruitvale in 1951. Gerry passed away peacefully at Rose Wood Village on January 20, 2022.
He followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, working 31 years at Teck-Cominco, primarily in the lead refinery.
Gerry was a long-time Alcoholics Anonymous member and could be counted on to help anyone in their struggle with alcohol.
Gerry made his choice to serve God in Nelson in 1976 and continued faithfully until his passing. He enjoyed reading the Bible and attending home Bible studies which were held in his home for 34 years. He was very pleased to find out that Clifford Fernie was his first cousin.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife Marian, daughter Amy (Lee), twin grandchildren Reuben and Sarah of Montrose, BC, a large extended family and numerous friends.
Gerry will be buried beside his infant son Leonard William in the Fruitvale Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Andreas Schmitz of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
