Obituary for Gerald Douglas Hunking
Gerald Douglas Hunking, 87 years, of Petrolia and formerly of Clinton, died on Monday, January 17, 2022 at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia. Born in Hullett Township, the son of the late Harvey and Evelyn Hunking. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Glazier)(2008). Gerald will be missed by his son Brian and his wife Sandra Hunking, his grandchildren Carrie Elliott and Jorge Paiva, Craig Hunking and Ann-Marie Pineo, and Brandon Hunking, and his great grandchildren Kole and Bryce Elliott and Jaxson Hunking. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Gloria McWhirter and Doug Murray. He was predeceased by a brother Don and Myrna Hunking, sisters Hazel and Joe Crosato and Ferne and Bill Moore, and brother-in-law Raleigh and Pat Glazier. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. To attend you must pre register in advance at signup.com/go/ZaAJvpH. Visitors will be received prior to the service by pre registration at signup.com/go/yRETcOE. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (www.heartandstroke.ca) or C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca).
