Tributes
Georgina June Paskell (Bowman)
June Paskell passed away peacefully on June 3, 2022, at the age of 97.
June met Ronald Paskell, WW2 RAF veteran, during the war while Ron was posted for training near Hamilton, Ontario. They were married for 69 years prior to Ron’s passing in 2018.
Loving Mother of Janice Dolan (Jerry) and Suzanne Hobin (Gary) and proud grandmother to Shane (Sophia), Heather, Patrick, Jessica (Peter), and Megan (Colin). Cherished great-grandmother to Theo, Zayden, Florence, and Oslo.
June was a generous and loving person who kept track of those she cared for, often sending a card or making a phone call. June loved playing and later watching tennis and in her recent years at Waterside in Carleton Place, spent many hours doing countless 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles and playing bridge. June possessed a keen memory and sense of humour and her love of the Lord Jesus to the very end.
A celebration of life will be held at Bells Corners United Church, 3955 Old Richmond Rd., at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Carleton Place and District Hospital.

  1. Dear Janice, Suzanne and family,
We were sorry to read about the death of your Mom. She did have a long life and I’m sure has left you with lots of good memories. It is never easy to lose a parent. We have lots of good memories of our time as neighbours as do our kids. Unfortunately, we have an appointment at the same time as the service so will not be able to attend.
We will be thinking of you all.
    Take care,
    Love,
    David and Gail (Cook)
