It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Georges Ambeliotis, aged 87, surrounded by his family.
Among us here to honor his life and memory are his wife of 46 years Toula, his son Taki (Nafsika), his daughter Fenia (Anthony), and his beloved grandchildren whom he adored with all his heart, Matteo and Alyssa. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, Greece and England.
Born in Chios, Greece and having travelled the world, Georges was an exceptional individual who captured everyone’s heart through his charm, sense of humor & wittiness. On Father’s Day of 2020, his dream came true with the publishing of his autobiography entitled “Map Games – An Autobiography by Georges Ambeliotis”.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Yves Légaré Funeral Home, 14370 Pierrefonds Blvd, Pierrefonds, H9H 4R7.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Brunswick Blvd, D.D.O H9B 2N8, and thence, to the Cimetière Jardin du Souvenir de la Paroisse Saint-Joachim Cemetery, 400 Saint-Jean Blvd., Pointe-Claire, H9R 5P1.
On behalf of Georges and his family, a huge “THANK YOU” to the staff at the CHSLD Vaudreuil-Dorion for their incredible dedication support and care. He loved being there and was always treated with dignity and respect !
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada , in memory of Georges Ambeliotis, would be greatly appreciated.
