Obituary
SATHMARY – George, formerly of Port Colborne passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday June 7, 2022, at the age of 92. Father of Wendy (David) Wyatt, David (Sharon) Sathmary, Brenda (Joe) Lannan and Greg Sathmary. Grandfather of Karen (Wes), Christine (Mike), Brian (Tara), Bill (Allison), Mark (Kylee), Brent (Allana), Lindsay (Rob), Rebecca (Andrew), Jennifer (Stephan) and great grandfather of 22. Special friend to Agnes and remembered by several family members. George was predeceased by his first wife Eleanor (Pinelli) in 2003 and his second wife Jolan. In his younger years, he was a volunteer firefighter, auxiliary police, umpire, hockey coach and was the president of the Port Colborne Bocce Club. Dad retired from INCO in 1985. Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff on 3A at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their kindness and care during this difficult time. A private family service will be held at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Mount Carmel.
