George Philip’s Obituary
COMEAU, George Philip “à George à Jos” – Age 85, of Saulnierville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022, with his family by his side in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 19, 1936, in Comeauville, he was a son of the late George and Therese Comeau.
Philip was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who always liked to have a chat with anyone he knew. Philip enjoyed time with his family and loved passing time in the woods and admiring his million-dollar ocean view.
Philip is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine, Saulnierville; sons, George “Ziggy” (Angel Crowell), Saulnierville; Gilbert (Kim), Saulnierville; Claude (Rayna), Meteghan Station; brother, Eddie (Yvonne), Meteghan; loving grandchildren, Adrien, Monique, Clarisse, Chantale, Jacques and Briand; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son, Brian; brothers, André, Clément, Lin; sisters, Angelina, Modeste, Gemma, Agnes, Rosalie, Marguerite, Anita (in infancy).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held in Église Sacré-Coeur, Saulnierville on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Hospice Akoffodji officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
The family wished to say thank you to all those who helped Philip through the last part of his journey on Earth, especially the doctors, nurses who were so kind, those who visited and called.
Donations in memory of Philip may be made to Cimetière Sacré-Coeur, Saulnierville or to a charity of your choice.
