George Maxwell Jones
Passed away after a brief second battle with cancer at his home in Baden, ON., with his loving wife Sheila by his side, on the evening of Tuesday, July 26th. Born in Glace Bay, NS, he married the love of his life, Sheila (nee Kennedy), on August 18, 1962. George is survived by his children; Kimberley Daniel (Randy) and Glenn Jones, sister Karen Byers, sister-in-law Marilyn Jones, niece and nephews, and predeceased by brother Kenzie Jones and his parents Flora Jones (nee MacDonald) and George Wilfred Jones.
A charismatic storyteller, passionate educator, adventurer, comedian, loyal Yankee and Kitchener Rangers fan, retired Santa, aviator, and master of most any skill he set his mind to (flying, karate, and woodworking – but not singing)! A deeply devoted husband and father, will be greatly missed by family and friends. Our memories of him will last forever. One last piece of advice from George: Nil desperandum carburundum illegitami!
