George Leo Thibodeau 2022

The death of George Leo Thibodeau of Minto occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 73 years of age. Born in New England Settlement on May 23, 1948 he was the son of the late Helen (LeBlanc) Thibodeau and Eloie Thibodeau. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerry, in 1971.
George was a people person and will be remembered for his generous loving heart. His many kind deeds to others showed him to be kind and selfless. He was talented in many fields and excelled at woodworking. George loved spending time in the great outdoors and enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing and in the winter he enjoyed skiing and snowshoeing.
He owned his own repair shop and was a gifted mechanic. In his younger years he built his 48 Indian motorcycle from the frame and built a bombardier from scratch and also a tow truck.
He is survived by his father, Eloie of Minto, one sister, Barb Thibodeau of Minto and one brother, Ron Thibodeau of Cambridge Narrows; three uncles, Leo, Larry and Allan Thibodeau; by a special niece Natalie Thibodeau and a special nephew Mark Chase; and by other nieces, nephews and cousins
.
Interment will take place in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations in memory of George made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
