George C.W. Charlton, 83 of Shediac,
NB, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University
Hospital on Saturday November 26, 2022 after a courageous battle with
cancer.
Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, he was
the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Morgan) Charlton.
He worked many years as a forklift operator with Tyee Timber Products
in Langley, BC. George was a long-time member of Shediac Bay Community
Church where he served his church in various capacities as a church
greeter, member of the church Building Committee and the Worship
Committee. He was a former member of the Grand Digue Golden
Age Club and until recently, he was a long-time delivery driver for
the Times & Transcript in the Shediac area where he loved his
clients and friends that he had met over the
years.
George will be sadly missed by his
wife of over 38 years, Norma Charlton of Shediac, his cherished
children, Tammy and Lana Charlton of British Columbia, Gary Hebert
(Lynn) of Vancouver, BC, Wanda Watson of Langley, BC and Brian Hebert
of Langley, BC; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with
another great grandson on the way; brother, Bob Charlton (late Gwen)
of Langley, BC; sister in law, Alda Charlton; several nieces and
nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents,
George was predeceased by his brother,
Ken.
A Memorial Service to celebrate
George’s Life will be held from Shediac Bay Community Church
at a later date.
George’s arrangements under
the direction and care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995).
