George Bujouves
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in his 87th year, George Bujouves, beloved husband of Bessie Bujouves. Loving father of John (Diane) Nick (Julie) Bujouves. Much loved papou of Georgeo, Angelina,Yiorgo. Dear brother of Gus (Agathi) , Eleni (the late Spiro), Tom (the late Toula), Perry (the late Voula), the late Patricia (Nick) and brother-in-law of Gus (Patti), George (Louise), Theodore (Fani) Iliopoulos. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. George was a very proud Greek immigrant – he alone made a path for the whole family and families to thrive in Canada. George was the owner of the Colonial Restaurant for many years. He was an amazing gardener, chef, husband father and papou. George was open and generous. He loved his family more than all, proud of each and every one. Special thanks to the staff at the Brantford General Hospital, C-4 Unit and the Palliative Care Unit for their care and attention.
Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Trisagion on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 475 Park Road North, Brantford on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. If wished, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society gratefully appreciated.
