Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Walter Matthews announce his passing on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 at the age of 63 years.
He leaves to mourn with many loving memories: son Adam (Maria) Cormier; parents Vera and Walter Matthews; brothers: Ward and Dean (Janet); and sister Joanne (Keith); special extended family: Ursula Alexander, Neila (Sean) Rosata, Camerin, Dominick, & Tori Alexander; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Gary was predeceased by: grandparents: John & Clara Matthews and Herbert & Irene Blanchard; step grandmother Annie Blanchard; and special cousin John Matthews.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Stephenville on Friday, June 17th at 2:00 PM.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, especially to the girls at the Chemo Ward; and to Dr. Alhamedi and the staff at the Bay St. George Medical Clinic.
