Gary Stephen Weekes passed away on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 in his 82nd year at Northumberland Hills Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (nee Simpson) for 36 years. Gary was born on April 30th, 1940 to parents Mary and Jim Weekes in Toronto. Gary graduated from Trent University and was employed by the KPRDSB, first as an elementary school teacher and then later as a principal. He was an avid reader, lover of his pets and loyal to the Yankees. After he retired, Brenda and Gary enjoyed travelling, especially the cruises to Alaska. He will be missed by both friends and family. If desired donations may be made to the Northumberland Humane Society or PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary. A celebration of life will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, Cobourg, on Saturday April 30th, 2022 at 10:30 am. followed by refreshments.
