Gary Ronald Kobley passed away at 11:37 pm on Thursday night August 18th, 2022 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook British Columbia, at age 73. Gary was born on August 31st, 1948 in Fort Macleod Alberta; youngest of seven children to Rose and Ike Kobley.
Gary worked as an Owner/Operator of Swanson Sheet Metal Ltd. in Victoria, BC. He was a member of the Victoria YMCA, Tennis Club, Rugby Club as well as the British Columbia Auxiliary Police Service (1970).
Gary is survived by children: Deborah (aka Rose) Kobley, Catherine Kobley Berke, husband Nigel Berke and Wayne Kobley; Gary”s three grandchildren: James Kobley, Ryker Berke, Ladnar Berke and their grandmother, Rosalind Plumtree (nee Franklin) all miss him dearly.
He is survived by brothers Alfred Kobley and Herbert Kobley (Patricia). He was pre-deceased by sisters Helen Scheer (Mike), Caroline Parkin (Al), and Mary Halowski (Stan), and eldest brother John Kobley (Phyllis). Friends have called to share just how much they have enjoyed life with
Gary over the years; from across British Columbia and Alberta.
Family will lay Gary Ronald Kobley to rest in Cranbrook’s Westlawn Cemetery on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 at 10:00 am. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Cranbrook SPCA , PO Box 2, Cranbrook, BC V1C 4H6. God Bless All!
