Gary Patrick Clancy 1941 2022

CLANCY, Gary
Patrick – The
Irishman
It is with broken hearts, we
announce the sudden passing of our loving father, grandfather, great
grandfather, devoted husband (Margo) and successful Air Balancing HVAC
entrepreneur. Born in Mulgrave, NS, July 17, 1941, and returned to our
Lord, March 20, 2022. Gary Clancy was a contender, who never
shied away from anything, rarely lost a bet or an argument, and never
told a lie in his life. This gifted storyteller, avid golfer, sport
enthusiast, shrewd card player and adventurous lover of life, passed
away after a brief, but aggressive battle with cancer, with his loving
wife, Margo by his side. Gary was predeceased by his mother and
father, Sarah and Sherman Clancy, his first wife, Andrea Lolly
(Doucet) and his brother, Ray. He leaves behind seven children:
Deborah (Stan Sherman dec.), John (Serpil), Bekki (Ron McGillivary)
Stephanie (Tyrone Degenhardt), Natalie, Darryl and Kemble. His legacy
includes 15 grandchildren: Roc, Steel, Brock, Brent, Burak, Berkay,
Beril, Bora, Taya, Dustin, Dylan (Mallory), Brynmar, Shealyn, Devyn,
Hunter, and two great grandsons: Greyson and Oliver. He is also
survived by his sisters: Ruthie, Irma, Claire, Nita, and brothers:
John and Jim, as well as many adoring nieces and nephews.
Loved by all who knew him. Gary valued politics and
volunteered on many campaigns. Professionally, Gary served on his
association, AABC Board, as Councillor and Director with Honoured
Leadership recognition, received Distinguished ASHRAE Life Member
Award and was a long standing member of national and several maritime
construction associations. In the community, he was a long time member
the Moncton Elks Club, the Moncton Golf Club, the Moncton Curling
Club, and regular contributor to many local and Mulgrave
organizations. His tenacity, exuberance, laughter and contagious
smile, will be dearly
missed by all who knew him. Many thanks to the exceptional caring
staff at the Moncton Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital (friendsfoundation.ca), the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca), the IWK Foundation (iwkfoundation.org), the Mulgrave Heritage Centre
(
