Obituary
ATWOOD, Gary Herbert – 70, Stoney Island, passed away at home, on December 2, 2022. Born January 25, 1952, he was a son of the late Leander and Frances (Atkinson) Atwood. Gary was a fisherman before he retired working in the industry. He worked for many different companies over the years, including, Clardon Nickerson, Sea Star, and Canus Fisheries. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. He was a family man that loved family gatherings and camping with his children and his grandson. He is survived by his wife, Annette; daughters, Kimberly (Aaron), Tamara (Todd), Dawn (Kyle); grandchildren, Nolan, Kelsie; brothers, Gordon (Sandra), Royden (Tess), Randy, Dwayne, Christopher; sisters, Trudy (Eric), Rose (Dennis), Carol (Walter), Sylvia (Wade), Katherine, Chrissy; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Felton. There will be a visitation Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, at 2 pm, at the New Testament Baptist Church, The Hawk with Gary Cunningham officiating. Interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, The Hawk.
