Obituary
The family of Garry Thomas Humphreys are saddened to announce that on Sunday April 10, 2022, with family at his side, Garry passed away peacefully and with dignity at the age of 77.
Garry is survived by his sweetheart/wife Beverley (Olsen) Humphreys, sons Jack Lucas (Karen), Martin Humphreys and daughter Kacy Humphreys. He is also survived by his step sons, James Olsen, Aaron Olsen, Kevin (Bobbi) Olsen, David (Tara) Olsen, Christopher (Niki) Olsen, and Greg (Alexia) Olsen, who were honoured to share his life.
Garry loved spending time with his 24 grandkids, spending time at the Casino, playing pool, curling, playing tennis, and taking his dog, Buddy, for walks. Garry was a well travelled man that took him all over the world which continued into his retirement where he enjoyed spending time in Lake Havasu and taking in the sights of Las Vegas. Garry was well loved by his family as well and loved his family even more.
Garry’s career began when he graduated from the University of Alberta, where he played for the Golden Bear volleyball team, finishing school with a Civil Engineering Degree. Garry spent 25 years with the Alberta Government working in what was once known as the Ministry of Transportation and Utilities. He later finished his career and retired in 2008 after spending time with ISL engineering out of Edmonton.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
