Obituary
On February 9, 2022, Garry Martin Miller passed away at home. He is greatly missed by his wife, Lois Walker, brother-in-law, Brian Sutherland and very special nieces, Lindi Olbrycht (Ryan), Melissa Sutherland (Dustin Brown), great niece, Evalie Olbrycht, and his uncle and aunt, Cliff and Bev Bernhardt. He was predeceased by his parents, Emily and Joe Miller and sister-in-law, Sherry Sutherland.
Gary was born and raised in Winnipeg and his love of a bargain remained with him. He moved to Qualicum Beach in 2010 where he made a large circle of wonderful friends. However, he never forgot his friends back in Winnipeg and in particular, Heather and Bill. His keen sense of humour that lightened many challenging situations is sorely missed. Gary loved numbers and his chosen career of accounting suited him well. Indeed, he worked part- time until 2021. He enjoyed traveling and cruises and trips to Palm Springs were favorites. He also had a keen interest in sports and especially baseball which he played for many years. He cared dearly for animals and was he blessed with several special pets. Elmer will be making up for lost time with face rubs now.
There will be no formal service, but a gathering of friends will be held at a later date.
Flowers are gratefully declined. A donation to any animal welfare agency or charity of your choice would be a most appreciated tribute to a life well lived.
