Obituary of Garnet Lawrence Harrison
Garnet Lawrence Harrison, 86, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022 at Ross Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (2021) for 63 years. Dear father of Roger (Eileen) and Kimberley Ball (Brent Daues). Loving grandfather of Kelsey (Sheldon), Joshua (Emily), Nathan, Justin, Jacob, and great-grandfather to Sage.
Garnet was born on March 12, 1936 in Bobcaygeon, ON, to Lewis and Nellie Harrison, and it was here he went on to start his business, Harrison Excavating, 30 years later in 1966. He continued to successfully run the business for over 50 years, along with his son Roger.
Garnet was predeceased by his siblings Les, Olive and Dorothy. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews
The family would like to express their appreciation for all the nurses, caregivers, and staff at Pinecrest Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – MONK CHAPEL, 6 HELEN STREET BOBCAYGEON, on June 2nd from 2-3pm. A private family graveside service to follow.
